Where the terminal actually is

The Ravenna Civitas Cruise Port terminal stands at Porto Corsini, on the north bank of the Candiano canal mouth, facing Marina di Ravenna. The new terminal building opened for the 2026 season, hosting Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Norwegian turnarounds from May to November: ships typically berth at 06:00 and sail at 17:00. By bus and ferry: the local way

Start Romagna line 90 links Ravenna station with Porto Corsini in about 25 minutes, with extra runs laid on when ships are in. From the beach side, the passenger ferry shuttles across the canal from Marina di Ravenna continuously between 5:00 and 0:30 for 1 euro on foot. Cheap and scenic, with luggage as the natural enemy.

Taxis and cruise shuttles

There is no permanent taxi rank at the pier: cars come out when booked, and on two-ship days the supply runs thin. The cruise lines sell airport coaches on their own timetable, per person. Both work; neither is tied to your flight.

Pre-booked private transfer

A private car bridges the terminal with Bologna Airport (about 1h20), Venice (2h10), Florence (2h20), Bologna and the riviera, in either direction, with a name sign at the pier exit and the price fixed at booking. On embarkation day the pickup hour is planned backwards from your check-in window.

Bologna Guglielmo Marconi is the closest major airport, 99 km away: about 1h20 by car and considerably longer by any public chain (monorail, train, then bus 90 or taxi). Rimini Airport is about an hour south; Venice Marco Polo about 2h10 north.

Connecting by train

Ravenna station is the rail gateway: direct regional trains reach Bologna in about an hour (around 9 euro) and connect onward across Italy. Between the station and the pier, count bus 90, a taxi if you find one, or a booked car.

The practical choices: Marina di Ravenna, the beach town directly across the canal from the terminal (2 minutes on the 1-euro pedestrian ferry, about 25 minutes by road around the canal), Marina Romea and Porto Corsini itself on the terminal side (5 minutes by car), Punta Marina just south along the coast (about 20 minutes), Ravenna city for a night among the mosaics (about 20 minutes), and Milano Marittima for a resort stay (about 40 minutes).
