Train or private car to Ravenna?
The direct regional train from Bologna Centrale to Ravenna takes about an hour and costs around 9 euro: a fair deal if you are alone with hand luggage and your hotel is near the station. From the airport, though, you first ride the Marconi Express into town (7 minutes, 12.80 euro), cross the station and wait for the next regional. With a private car you skip all three steps: one vehicle, about 75 minutes total, and it also serves what the train cannot reach, such as Porto Corsini and the cruise terminal, Marina di Ravenna or a farmhouse outside town.
